Creating Unexpected Intersections between individuals touched by cancer and artists
Cancer survivor Jenna Benn Shersher realized the benefits of creative arts in helping young adults with cancer cope and heal. She later founded Twist Out Cancer, an international non-profit that offers Brushes with Cancer, is a six month program that matches those touched by cancer with artists to create a piece of artwork that reflects on and expresses their unique “twist on” or journey with cancer. Join Jenna and recent Brushes with Cancer Philly participants to hear how they have chosen to pay it forward with their stories and artistic talents.
