Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly becoming the all powerful “Wizard of OZ”. Experts estimate that AI could contribute up to $15.7 trillion to the global economy by the year 2030, more than the combined GDP of China and India today. But more importantly, the technology will be omnipresent, from household appliances to our financial, law and justice systems, to how we protect and grow cities. It will make more businesses and innovation more efficient, precise, and lessen room for error in all facets of life.
However, AI is only as good as the masses of data and humans that feed into it. And as humans, we all carry prejudices, consciously or unconsciously. This panel will explore how AI is helping to build smart communities and the innovation sector, however as well as precautions that should be top of mind as cities continue to employ AI platforms.
