David H. Lipson, Jr.

David H. Lipson, Jr. is the Chairman and CEO of Metro Corp., a publishing company whose signature titles include Philadelphia and Boston magazines. Two of the country’s most distinguished monthly publications.

A native of the Philadelphia region, David has been associated with the corporation in various capacities for more than 35 years. Continuing a three-generation family legacy at the helm of Metro Corp., David has spearheaded the growth of both Philadelphia and Boston magazines by evolving the magazine company into a modern, multi-media business. The core assets are the magazines, websites with robust daily content and a wide variety of events. The business is brand driven with an ethos that stays true to the original mission the company’s founders had when they invented the nation’s first city magazine: connect our readers with their city – – improving their lives by highlighting what is great, exposing what is not, and constantly sparking conversation about our regions and our times.

David serves on the board of Fringe Arts, the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Chamber of Commerce. He serves on the Advisory Board of Manna, the Kimmel Center Sales and Marketing Advisory Committee and is a member of the Corporate Council of CHOP.

David is married to Susan Kreithen Lipson and they have three children, Jenna, Matthew and Michael.
